Fedoskino Miniature by Michael Shelukhin




Professional artist. Michael was born in 1971. He has graduated from Fedoskino Art school. Several years he worked at Fedoskino Factory of Miniature Painting. Participant of numerous regional and international exhibitions. Some boxes created by Michael are in private collections. Michael exploits papier-mache, mother-of pearl, gold, oil, lacquer.
Fedoskino miniature is a traditional Russian lacquer miniature painting on papier-mache, named after its original center Fedoskino, an old village near Moscow widely known from the late 18th century. The contemporary Fedoskino painting preserves the typical features of Russian folk art.
